Meet the instructor

Daniel Shaw

Daniel Shaw is a co-founder of Compass Life Skills and your instructor for this course. He is a Marine Corps veteran who served as a master instructor and combat marksmanship trainer, a career firefighter, and an Advanced EMT with ACLS and PALS certifications. He teaches for the Arkansas Fire Training Academy, is a DHS Stop the Bleed instructor, and holds a Master's degree in English and Creative Writing. Daniel has spent his adult life responding to emergencies and teaching others to handle them. Every lesson in this course was built from the field, for your kitchen table.
